How to get a free IPod Nano [Part 6]

December 1, 2005

It’s been about 2 months since I signed up for this free IPod Nano thingy. Please read my previous part of my quest in getting the free IPod Nano here: Part 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Here’s the latest update:

- 3 person has turned green, 2 more to go! (need 5 people to turn green - which means approved)

Here’s a summary from the earlier parts on how to get a free IPod Nano:

1) Sign up at freepay.com (with my referral ID, just wanna be honest with you).
2) You need to sign up with one of their sponsors. But you don’t have to pay anything if you choose ScreenSelect Free 21-day Trial. So choose that! (I did the same). Choose e-Fax free trial if you’re in the US or Canada.
3) Get 5 friends to do the same thing!
4) Cancel the trials before the end of the free period to avoid charges. (I cancelled mine last month and I’m still eligible, so there).

That’s it. As simple as that.

100 best products of 2005

PCWorld has the list. Go take a look.

Hmm..how many things on the list have you got? It’s strange though..to include Google as a product (and it’s not on the top spot, don’t worry). I see it more like a service instead of product.

Go update your shopping list now. :)

How to get a free IPod Nano [Part 4]

Update on my free IPod Nano attempt. Please read the earlier parts before you proceed with this.

After about 8 or 9 days, my offer is approved my Freepay.com, so it’s still possible for someone to get a completely free IPod Nano! But one thing though, for better chance, your referrals have to sign up on the same day as you. In that way, they will be approved on the same time as you. As for me, only 1 person signed up under me and completed the offer just one day after I signed myself up. So at the moment, I have 1 approved referral (green icon) and 4 more to go! Grrr…. Seems like I won’t be able to get my IPod Nano on time before the free trial of ScreenSelect ends. 12 more days remaining on my free trial period.

Here’s the screenshots of my account:

14 people signed up but only 1 completed the offer?? I need only 4 more!

As you can see, I only need 4 more….. I wonder why it’s so difficult to complete this even though it’s completely free. No harm in trying right? And of all 14 who signed up under me, I only know 3 of them personally. The others didn’t even send me a message or anything. Strange…

I think I might have to cancel this before I will manage to get the free Nano. Unless I see some changes within these few days. If anyone of you who might be interested (from the UK, US or Canada), or if you have any relatives/friends/enemies who are staying in the aforementioned countries, do let them know about this offer. I will greatly appreciate your help!

Today, I received my very first DVD rental from ScreenSelect.co.uk, which is part of the offer. Here are the screenshots:

But on my account page, it’s still “0 friend has completed the offer” and “You have not completed any offer”. Here:

What I’ve realised from this program:
- Somehow, I felt this is just like doing an MLM program. Friends will start avoiding you for no reason, afraid that I might want to kept on bugging them to sign up. I did not intend to do that, I will only ask once and if that person is not interested, I will accept it. But still….

- Selling a product is difficult. What more, I’ve just gotten myself a marketing job. I guess it’ll be a tough road for me. But still…this is a good experience.

Adios!
